摘要: Designing various inorganic nanomaterials that are cost effective, water soluble, optically photostable, highly fluorescent and biocompatible for bioimaging applications is a challenging task. Similar to semiconducting quantum dots (QDs), silicon QDs another alternative fluorescent, but non-water soluble. Several surface modification strategies were adopted make them However, the photoluminescence of Si was seriously quenched in aqueous environment. In this report, luminescent, water-dispersible, blue- green-emitting prepared with good photostability. vitro studies monocytes reveal exhibit biocompatibility excellent distribution throughout cytoplasm region, along significant fraction translocated into nucleus. The vivo zebrafish also can be evenly distributed yolk-sac region. Overall, our results demonstrate applicability water-soluble as probes.
