摘要: Background and Aim Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located in long noncoding RNA CASC8 gene may influence the process of splicing stability messenger RNA conformation, resulting modification its interacting partners. Genome-wide association studies have identified SNP rs10505477 rs1562430 CASC8 were associated with risk colorectal cancer (CRC) breast cancer, respectively. Methods In present study, we genotyped 940 surgically resected gastric patients to explore between these two SNPs (e.g. rs1562430) survival a Chinese population. Results We found that carrying GG genotype survived for longer time than those GA AA genotypes (log-rank P = 0.030). The similar result was also dominant model (GA/AA vs GG, HR = 1.32, 95% CI = 1.08–1.63, log-rank P = 0.008). This effect more pronounced among tumor size ≤ 5 cm, diffuse-type lymph node metastasis, no distant TNM stage III IV. Furthermore, area under curve at five years dramatically increased from 0.619 0.624 after adding score traditional clinical (TNM metastasis). However, there be cancer. Conclusion These findings suggested contribute potential prognostic biomarker cancer.
