摘要: This paper presents findings from an elicitation study that focused on the sexual risks and condom use behaviour of African American crack smokers. Of interest were attitudes, beliefs, barriers affect adoption maintenance condoms as HIV prophylactic. Thick descriptive data collected 64 heterosexual Americans who smoke cocaine. Data content analysed for descriptions normative or facilitators use. Participants described few positive outcome expectations, while detailing several negative expectations. Normative beliefs found to be weakly related with casual partners. However, relationships intimate partners indicated expectations partner strongly influenced contextual use, although situational barriers, including addiction, identified.
