摘要: Specialized plant tissue culture methods have enabled the production of completely homozygous breeding lines from gametic cells in a shortened time frame compared to conventional breeding. Plants an F1 hybrid represent array each having different genetic contribution parents. Lines exhibiting desired characteristics are chosen for large-scale field trials as prelude commercialization. Although number new varieties developed via this method has been limited, refinement techniques extended range crop species which haploid plants produced well efficiency resulting production. Several grown on considerable acreage while others being tested candidates replace by methods.
