摘要: Proliferation and differentiation are tightly controlled during neural development. In the embryonic plate, primary neurogenesis is driven by proneural pathway. Here we report characterization of Maturin, a novel, evolutionarily conserved protein that required for normal neurogenesis. Maturin detected throughout early nervous system, yet it most strongly expressed in differentiating neurons fish, frog mouse systems. expression can be induced transcription factors Neurog2, Neurod1, Ebf3. overexpression promotes neurogenesis, while loss-of-function inhibits neuronal progenitors, resulting plate expansion. knockdown blocks ability Ebf3 to drive ectopic Pak3, both for, synergize promote vivo. Together, our results suggest functions pathway regulate differentiation.
