摘要: There is increasing interest in topics at the nexus of collaboration and information behavior. A variety studies conducted organizational settings have provided us with key insights about collaborative aspects seeking, retrieving, using information. Researchers used a range terms, including seeking (CIS), retrieval (CIR), search, sensemaking, others to describe various pertinent activities. Consequently, we lack conceptual clarity concerning these activities, leading tendency use terms interchangeably when fact they may be referring different issues. Here, offer behavior (CIB) as an umbrella term connote retrieval, use. We provide contours model CIB synthesized from findings past by our research team well other researchers. By reanalyzing synthesizing data those studies, conceptualize comprised set constitutive organized into three broad phases—problem formulation, Some activities are specific particular phase, whereas common all phases. explain how related one another. Finally, discuss limitations its potential usefulness advancing research.
