摘要: 77 infants with conjugated hyperbilirubinemia and evidence of hepatocellular necrosis were evaluated. A specific sensitive radioimmunoassay was used to measure levels alpha fetoproteins. Infants extrahepatic biliary atresia neonatal hepatitis presented a broad range fetoproteins concentrations while alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency had low concentration levels. Since can be corrected by laparotomic surgery if performed within the first 10 weeks life since on contrary exploratory laparotomy detrimental in it is extremely important distinguish 2 groups. However determination does not seem provide reliable nonsurgical method for differentiation at moment considered only as useful addition investigative scheme.
