摘要: Abstract We present evidence that the human thyroid hormone receptor forms a heterodimer with retinoic acid receptor. This interaction results in cooperative increase binding of α to subset response elements. Mutations within DNA domain or near C-terminus abolish either receptor's ability interact cooperatively on these The hormone-retinoic exhibits novel transcriptional properties coexpression both receptors at low levels Green monkey kidney (CV1) cells positive effect promoters containing palindromic element, but has surprisingly negative element derived from myosin heavy chain gene. These suggest by forming heterodimers, more elab-orate control transcription can be achieved creating combinations differing activities.
