摘要: Objectives: There is no study about correlation between vitamin D serum level and multiple sclerosis (MS) in Iran. So this survey, we investigated the of 25-hydroxy MS patients compared it with controls central region Iran, an area medium to high risk for disease, spite sun exposure. Methods: A case-control was conducted from July 1, 2008 31, 2009. We enrolled 50 definitive patients, according McDonald's criteria as case group matched controls. Our age limits were 15 55 years those estimated expanded disability status scale less than 5 introduced study. measured them two groups. Results: gathered 42 females 8 males same numbers control without significant difference. The mean groups 48 62 nmol/L, respectively, difference (P=0.036). Also, our showed discrepancy rate deficiency, insufficiency normal range categories (P=0.021). Conclusions: found results studies carried out Europe North America; i.e., lower that population, sufficient exposure Isfahan region. Keywords: Serum 25(OH) level; Multiple sclerosis; D.
