Polymer pyrolysis synthesis and magnetic properties of LaFeO3 nanoparticles

摘要: Abstract LaFeO3 nanoparticles were synthesized by a polymer pyrolysis method. successfully obtained from calcination of the precursor at different temperatures 700 °C to 1000 °C in air for 3 h. The calcined characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES), and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). XRD TEM results showed that all samples had single phase nature with orthorhombic structure. estimated crystallite sizes range 34.8±1.5-74.0±2.8 nm, as increased increasing temperature. valence states Fe ions Fe3+ state, confirmed XANES results. weak ferromagnetic behavior highest magnetization (M) 0.32 emu/g measured 10 kOe was 700 °C. Moreover, this exhibited Curie temperature (TC) above 400 K. uncompensated spins surface discussed origin ferromagnetism nanoparticles.
