Cherubism. Histo-enzymological and ultrastructural study

摘要: The 3 cases of cherubism reported affected the mandible. They were all studied by means histo-enzymological and ultrastructural methods. This study demonstrated stages in morphological evolution disease, corroborated clinical data. 1st stage was characterized an osteolytic granuloma with round, fusiform giant-cells a high level activity acid phosphatase. 2nd showed repair proliferation highly active fibroblasts (increase leucine aminopeptidase). 3rd exhibited osteogenesis alkaline phosphatase ATPase. pathogenesis this rare osteodysplasia is discussed.
