摘要: The effects of weld residual stress and heat affected zone on the fatigue propagation cracks parallel orthogonal to direction in friction stir welded (FSW) 2024-T351 joints were investigated. Crack behaviour was sensitive both orientation distance crack from line. Growth rates faster slower than parent material observed, depending weld. Weld mechanically relieved observed. A comparative analysis results indicated that growth FSW generally dominated by microstructure hardness changes FSWs had a minor influence.
