摘要: Friction stir welding (FSW) and friction processing (FSP) are two solid state processes that involve heating by plastic deformation. As a result of these inputs, mechanical properties differ from those base materials. For application techniques, it is necessary to know the hardness, static, fracture fatigue associated with materials welded or treated. This chapter summarizes studies on each technique for several alloys. Process parameters have high influence achieved residual stress distortion also importance. Due their nature, stresses unavoidable play fundamental role such as behaviour. Residual its in FSW FSP discussed. These techniques applicable number different alloys applications multi-material joining applications. Combined effect process parameters, virtually impossible study case, therefore property prediction highly important. A summary regarding this issue presented.
