摘要: Micropipette aspiration was used to study the lateral wall stiffness of isolated guinea pig outer hair cells (OHCs) perfused with a sodium salicylate solution. Salicylate treatment significantly decreased as measured by parameter (S) compared standard bathing solution (S=0.68±0.26 vs. S=1.09±0.25, P<0.05). The effect reversible – treated and then exhibited similar control (S=1.10±0.40, P=0.94). perfusion diminishes electromotile responses in OHCs physiologic doses produce hearing loss tinnitus human subjects. OHC wall, locus electromotility, consists three concentric layers: (1) an outermost plasma membrane, (2) cytoskeletal network actin spectrin called cortical lattice (3) innermost collection flattened membranes subsurface cisternae (SSC). Ultrastructural studies have shown that dilates vesiculates (SSC) OHCs. In addition, causes outward curvature erythrocytes. reversible, induced increase compliance may result from direct action on SSC and/or membrane.
