摘要: Rice prolamin has been reported to possess antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and immune-promoting properties. This study is aimed examine the protective effects of dietary rice extract (RPE) against dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB)-induced atopic dermatitis (AD)-like skin lesions in mice. BALB/c mice were fed diet supplemented with 0–0.1 % RPE for 6 weeks. For last 2 weeks, 1 % or 0.2 % DNCB was applied repeatedly back induce AD-like lesions. Following AD induction, severity examined macroscopically histologically. In addition, serum levels IgE, IgG1 IgG2a determined by ELISA, mRNA expression IL-4 IFN-γ real-time PCR. Dietary suppressed clinical symptoms DNCB-induced as well its associated histopathological changes such epidermal hyperplasia infiltration mast cells eosinophils dermis. treatment also increase transepidermal water loss. inhibited enhancement IgE levels, whereas it increased level DNCB-treated upregulated downregulated The above results suggest that exerts a effect via upregulation Th1 immunity may be useful AD.
