摘要: Calcium (Ca2+) increased insulin-receptor binding in both membrane and solubilised receptor preparations. Ca2+ affinity initial rate of association [125I]insulin to the had no effect on insulin number either preparation. The could be mimicked by ions with similar ionic radii properties (e.g., Ba2+, Mg2+ Sr2+). EDTA oleic acid reduced these effects were reversed addition Ca2+. These studies suggest that Ca2+-like may bind a site or near responsible for conformational change consequent increase affinity.
