摘要: Adaptation to low oxygen conditions is essential for maintaining homeostasis and viability in oxygen-consuming multi-cellular tissues, including solid tumors. Central these processes are the hypoxia-inducible transcription factors, HIF-1 HIF-2, controlling genes involved e.g. glucose metabolism neovascularization. Tumor hypoxia HIF expression have also been associated with a dedifferentiated phenotype increased aggressiveness. In this report we show that MAX interactor-1 (MXI1) gene directly regulated by proteins neuroblastoma breast cancer cells. HIF-binding transactivation were detected within MXI1 regulatory sequences vicinity of MXI1-0 promoter, leading rapid induction alternate isoform followed long-term both isoforms. Importantly, knock-down had limited effect on MYC/MYCN activity under hypoxia, an observation might be related different functional attributes two
