摘要: A range of planting times, with sequential harvests to age 24 months, was used determine crop growth and yield cassava at two locations, one having a humid tropical climate the other sub-tropical. Yield doubled during second year sub-tropical site. At site very high after year, but root rots occurred in year. The dry matter percentage storage roots fluctuated seasonally highest cooler months when canopy vigour lowest. Known or inferred environmental controls yield-determining factors rate, duration, partitioning harvestable organs were interpret results thus derive guidelines for timing harvesting moist environments.
