摘要: The aim of this study was to assess the chromatic sensitivity carriers color deficiency, specifically in relation dependence on retinal illuminance, and reference these findings corresponding red-green (RG) thresholds measured normal trichromatic males. Thirty-six congenital RG deficiency 26 males participated study. illuminance estimated by measuring pupil diameter optical density lens macular pigment. Each subject's vision examined using Color Assessment Diagnosis (CAD) test, Ishihara American Optical pseudoisochromatic plates, Nagel anomaloscope. Carriers deuteranopia (D) deuteranomaly (DA) had higher than male trichromats (p < 0.05). When referenced trichromats, protanomaly (PA) needed 28% less signal strength; D required ∼60% at mesopic light levels. Variation L:M ratio hence absolute M-cone may be principal factor underlying poorer low photopic range. increased PA lower levels is consistent with pooling signals from hybrid M' M cones subsequent stronger inhibition rods. suggest that photopigments pool preferentially spectrally closest "normal" pigments.
