摘要: Painful sensations can be evoked by application of thermal, mechanical, and chemical stimuli to the blood vessels. The cortical substrates these are unknown. We therefore used whole-head magnetoencephalography record responses painful laser applied cutaneously intravenously dorsum hand in healthy human subjects. Similar cutaneous stimuli, venous stimulation nearly simultaneously activated contralateral primary bilateral secondary somatosensory cortices.
