摘要: The incidence of heat illness and stroke is greater in older than younger people. In this context, exercise training regimens to increase tolerance people may provide protection against illness. Acute increases plasma volume (PV) improve thermoregulation during young subjects, but there some evidence that changes PV response acute are blunted humans. We recently demonstrated protein–carbohydrate (Pro-CHO) supplementation immediately after a bout increased albumin content (Albcont) 23 h both subjects. also examined whether Pro-CHO aerobic enhanced by increasing Albcont Older men aged ∼68 years exercised at moderate intensity, 60 min day−1, 3 days week−1, for 8 weeks, ∼19°C, took either placebo (CNT; 0.5 kcal, 0 g protein kg−1) or supplement (Pro-CHO; 3.2 0.18 exercise. After training, we found 30°C oesophageal temperature (Tes) were attenuated more CNT associated with cutaneous vasodilatation sweating. confirmed similar results subjects 5 training.
