摘要: Lateral roots of Vicia faba were grown for one cell cycle in the presence 5-bromodeoxyuridine (BrdUrd) and then another thymidine. Between BrdUrd thymidine treatments exposed 1 or 2 hours to following substances: MMS, EMS, MNNG, quinacrine mustard, mitomycin C, thiotepa, bleomycin maleic hydrazide. All these agents produced chromosomal aberrations and, with exception bleomycin, strongly increased frequency sister chromatid exchanges (SCEs). The addition caffeine solution resulted a strong increase frequencies induced by substances, but had no significant effect on SCEs. This suggests that SCEs are mechanisms at least partly different.
