摘要: Abstract The environment in former open-pit brown coal dumps differs from natural conditions. This paper gives the most likely scenario of long-term progression streams planned re-deposited lowlands Lusatia, Germany. is based on observations old abandoned mines. stream's controlled by non-cohesive virgin soils, extremely acidic iron-rich water, specific stream and bank vegetation, incomplete in-stream decay plant litter wood. streams. It a sequence an open-land to woodland finally wetland stream. Key processes responsible for these transitions are strong deposition iron oxyhydroxides, leaves wood, reduced vitality riparian trees. Uncertainties management conflicts that may emerge undirected briefly discussed.
