摘要: A sensing system incorporating a nano-scale fluoro-biosensor for detection of specifically targeted bio-contaminants (targets). Select embodiments use fluorescent nanoparticles such as quantum dots (QD) conjugated to antibody fragments form sensor specific bio-contaminant based on resonance energy transfer (FRET). quenching dye may be used label an analog, while is covalently bonded hydrophilic QD. Coupling QD labeled antibodies and quencher analogs provides enough proximity produce appreciable FRET-based quenching. Any addition the target displaces dye-labeled bacteria, eliminating results in concentration-dependent increase photoluminescence. Applications include rapid identification, with high degree specificity sensitivity, broad range targets, including viral contaminants, e.g., less than about three minutes. By using QDs varying wavelengths adapted into multiplexing immuno-assay.
