摘要: Kinesin spindle protein (KSP), a member of the kinesin superfamily microtubule-based motors, plays critical role in mitosis as it mediates centrosome separation and bipolar assembly maintenance. Inhibition KSP function leads to cell cycle arrest at with formation monoastral microtubule arrays, ultimately, death. Several inhibitors are currently being studied clinical trials provide new opportunities for development novel anticancer therapeutics alternative from available targeting drugs.
