摘要: This chapter reviews the various chemical agents that have major toxic effects on myocardium. Cardiovascular toxicants consist of a wide variety and drug classes pharmacological toxicological actions in heart circulatory system. Some categories cardiovascular include pharmaceuticals such as antineoplastics, anesthetics, psychotropics, antibiotics; drugs; natural products hormones vitamins; industrial chemicals heavy metals, solvents, alcohols; environmental pollution. Numerous central nervous system (CNS) acting dramatic these tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), general opioids, antipsychotic drugs. Tricyclic significant cardiotoxic an overdose, including ST segment elevation, QT prolongation, ventricular supraventricular arrhythmias. Antipsychotic agents, phenothiazines, can cause negative inotropism quinidine-like antiarrhythmic effects. Cardiac drugs cardiac glycosides, β blockers, calcium antagonists, antiarrhythmics are used to treat conditions, congestive failure, high blood pressure, These however, may during overdose. In case adverse blockers bradycardia, reduced output, cold extremities, bronchospasm, sleep disturbances. The effect pollution, particularly tobacco smoke (ETS) its disease, has also been reviewed extensively. A review ETS at work place suggests relative risks for disease from passive smoking almost equal those home-based exposure.
