摘要: A large group of patients with suspected allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics was evaluated. detailed clinical history, together skin tests, RAST (radioallergosorbent test), and controlled challenge used establish whether had selective immediate responses amoxicillin (AX) or were cross-reacting other penicillin derivatives. Skin tests performed benzylpenicilloyl-poly-L-lysine (BPO-PLL), benzylpenicilloate, benzylpenicillin (PG), ampicillin (AMP), AX. for BPO-PLL AX-PLL done. When both test BPO negative, single-blind, placebo-controlled done ensure tolerance PG sensitivity total 177 diagnosed as antibiotics. We selected the 54 (30.5%) cases AX allergy good PG. Anaphylaxis seen in 37 (69%), 17 (31%) having urticaria and/or angioedema. All negative BPO; 49 51 (96%) also MDM, 44 46 positive 34 (63%) patients. 22 (41%) just 5 (9%). None sera BPO. Challenge 23 subjects (43%) diagnosis reaction AX, 15 (28%) negative. well tolerated by all describe largest AX-allergic who have reported so far. Diagnosis these can be achieved only if specific AX-related reagents are employed. Further studies necessary determine exact extent this problem improve efficacy diagnostic methods.
