摘要: Abstract Microwave plasma torch (MPT) is a simple and low power-consumption ambient ion source. When MPT mass spectrometry applied in the detection of some metal elements, metallic ions exhibit novel features which are different from traditional ICP may be helpful for element analysis. Zinc cadmium both important transition metals with wide applications modern industry. Here, we presented research results spectra zinc elements by linear trap spectrometer (LTQ) positive negative modes. Without any sample pretreatment, aqueous samples were pneumatically nebulized aerosols generated. The dried introduced into through central tube to generate complex ions. For composite cadmium, general forms hybrid M(NO3)·nOH·mH2O, thus extremely complicated unsuitable quantitative monitoring. However, ionic quite regular M(NO3). We also showed that limit (LOD) mode can achieved at level 10 μg/L (ppb). Therefore, used as one alternative supplements ICP-MS on-line monitoring water trace levels, will promising field analysis rapid quality inspection.
