摘要: OBJECTIVE To report a patient with rare clinical presentation of marginal keratitis and pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) that responded to the steroid-sparing agent azathioprine. DESIGN Interventional case report. METHODS Case MEDLINE review medical literature on PG-associated peripheral ulcerative (PUK) its treatment. RESULTS A biopsy-proven history PG developed an explosive episode PUK. The ocular inflammation was minimally responsive topical therapy required significant long-term oral steroids for control. patient's active skin lesions dramatically systemic Since initiation treatment azathioprine, there have been no subsequent recurrences or keratitis. CONCLUSIONS PUK may be associated other inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis. Systemic azathioprine successfully control extraocular conditions should considered in setting failure and/or conditions.
