摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance Traditional Japanese (Kampo) medicines have a variety of clinical effects including pain alleviation, but evidence for mechanism their relief has not yet been elucidated fully. Considering that Kampo medicine contains many plant-derived chemicals having an ability to inhibit nerve action potential conduction, it is possible this inhibits conduction. The purpose the present study was know how various affect Materials and methods We examined crude on compound potentials (CAPs) recorded from frog sciatic by using air-gap method. Results Daikenchuto, rikkosan, kikyoto, rikkunshito, shakuyakukanzoto kakkonto concentration-dependently reduced peak amplitude CAP. Among medicines, daikenchuto most effective in inhibiting CAPs. Daikenchuto composed three kinds medicine, pepper, processed ginger ginseng radix. When were tested, pepper CAP amplitudes, while radix hardly affected Moreover, there interaction between activities such one at low high concentrations increased extent inhibition other co-applied. Conclusions This due radix, probably through manner dependent concentrations. Nerve conduction could contribute least part medicine's as alleviation.
