摘要: Genetic polymorphisms in EGFR 497Arg>Lys and EGF +61A>G genes influence cell cycle progression, apoptosis, angiogenesis, metastasis. Therefore, we assessed association of esophageal cancer (EC), its clinical characteristics, environmental interactions with these 174 patients EC 196 controls. No 497Arg/Arg genotype was observed (OR 1.48, p = 0.067) but +61A/A significantly associated risk 1.65, 0.025), particularly males 1.76, 0.031). Patients were at for squamous carcinoma (SCC) 1.70, 0.021) tumor upper anatomical location 3.11, 0.009). Interaction or genotypes exposure did not modulate risk. However, gene-gene interaction, 497Arg/Arg*EGF showed significant 2.47, 0.011). In conclusion, gene influenced susceptibility characteristics. Gene-gene interaction enhanced EC, indicating additive effects.
