摘要: ➤Advances in combined antiretroviral therapy (cART) recent years have transformed HIV infection into a chronic disease when treatment is available, increasing patient's life expectancy and the chances that orthopaedic surgeons will encounter such patients their clinical practice.➤Musculoskeletal manifestations with are common sometimes initial presentation of disease. Knowledge about neoplasms associated conditions affecting muscle, bones, joints essential for successful management.➤Since advent cART, total joint arthroplasty has been shown to be safe procedure; however, perioperative still small risk uncontrolled viral loads or CD4 counts <400 cells/mm(3).➤With regard trauma surgery, rates early late around implants, as well union rates, comparable those HIV-negative population; there an increased pulmonary, renal, infectious septic complications polytrauma setting.➤Factors count, nutritional status, cART therapy, load other comorbidities (hemophilia, among intravenous drug users, etc.) should considered treating these order optimize outcomes.
