摘要: Context Although depression in Alzheimer disease (AD) has a negative emotional and functional impact on patients caregivers, specific criteria to diagnose AD are still be validated. Objective To validate set of diagnostic for major AD. Design Cross-sectional design using latent cluster analysis (LCA). Setting Participants were recruited from consecutive referrals Memory Clinic tertiary hospital. A series 971 outpatients with probable Main Outcome Measure Clusters or without as determined LCA. Results LCA demonstrated three clusters that considered represent depression, minor no depression. All nine Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) significantly associated the cluster. diagnosis generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) apathy also cluster, irritability was not. Conclusions The DSM-IV should used unmodified Future studies determine whether GAD included an additional criterion.
