摘要: Abstract Previous work showed that thin ionized layers in the ionospheric E-region conduct electric current only towards magnetic equator, if are formed by wind-shears associated with “corkscrew” tidal winds. The present paper extends this and considers also shears produced height-independent winds fields near “transition” between collision-dominated magnetically-dominated ion motion; thus carry poleward direction.
