摘要: Moxalactam was compared with alternative antimicrobial agents for in vivo activity against Bacteroides fragilis. Mice were challenged one of 15 strains and evaluated by quantitative bacteriologic analysis abscess contents after five days treatment. Optimal results achieved clindamycin, moxalactam, cefoxitin. The mean decrease bacteria these three drugs significantly greater than chloramphenicol, cefotaxime, carbenicillin, cephalothin, ampicillin, cefoperazone. penetration into subcutaneous abscesses examined. peak level sterile moxalactam 27% the serum level, a result indicating relatively good other p-lactam agents. Stability to p-lactamase B. fragilis demonstrated comparing levels biologically active drug infected vitro antibiotic incubated exudate compares favorably clindamycin cefoxitin Recent studies have focused attention on role
