Murine coronavirus-induced encephalomyelitides in rats: Analysis of immunoglobulins and virus-specific antibodies in serum and cerebrospinal fluid

摘要: The humoral intrathecal immune response in coronavirus-induced demyelinating encephalomyelitis rats associated with an autoimmune reaction to brain antigen, was analysed. CSF of these animals revealed reactions which were directed against coronavirus and other, unknown, antigens. In general, no direct correlation between the disease, state blood-brain barrier (BBB), synthesis Ig presence virus-specific antibodies detectable, suggesting that humoral, contrast cellular, does not play a significant pathogenetic role this CNS disease.
