摘要: Endothelin-1 is an endothelium-derived factor which alters tone and proliferation of vascular smooth muscle has been implicated in the development atherosclerosis. Estrogen modulates production contractile responses to endothelin-1. Since atherosclerosis less estrogen-replete women compared men, experiments were designed determine whether or not there gender-associated differences proliferative endothelin-1 effect estrogen status on those responses. Proliferation cells derived from coronary arteries sexually mature, gondally intact male female oophorect-omized pigs was determined by thymidine incorporation absence presence with without 17β-estradiol.
