摘要: In 2018, two structures have been proposed with the goal of replacing magnet EDIPO that stopped operating in 2016. These solutions were designed to generate a field 15 T on an aperture 100 × 150 mm2 at 4.2 K by using Nb3Sn superconducting Rutherford cable. After boarding review, which took place December solution consisting 6-double-layers coils was retained, based 2-D modelling results. We now extend study, considering 3-D models, concluding conceptual design. The target is obtain homogeneous field, 1% homogeneity, over length 1000 mm, allows testing cables for both fusion and high-energy physics. double-layers coils, block-type magnet, flared ends allow cross length. 6-coils differs from previous similar projects as FRESCA2 HD2 magnets, where 4-coils used.
