摘要: Echinococcus granulosus, the etiologic agent of cystic echinococcosis in humans and other animal hosts, is distributed worldwide. Echinococcosis an increasing public health socioeconomic concern. The present work evaluated whether or not a superabsorbent polymer (SAP) could enhance damage efficacy high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) on viability E. granulosus protoscolices vitro. HIFU 100 W acoustic power 0.01 g were used to treat 5,000 2-ml suspension. After different exposure time (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 s, respectively), temperature suspension was taken, treated stained by trypan-blue exclusion assay, their structures observed light microscopy. To better understand biological mechanisms responsible for deaths protoscolices, activity succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) with examined. rose slowly, death rate 73.7 % group treatment 40 s; however, same 40 s, combined SAP quickly, 100 %. protoscolicidal effect (100 %) also groups 50 respectively. dead blue, shrunken black calcareous corpuscles, disordered decreasing hooks though intact membrane, as well some lost tore open membrane observed. In SAP, it found that surrounded spoiled, destruction much stronger than HIFU. exhibited reduction absence SDH staining intensity parenchymal cell corpuscles after irradiation, where large number necrotic cells evident. These results suggested induce loss protoscolices; energy cause more severe mitochondrial energetic function involved regulation cell-death pathways protoscolices.
