Optical properties of water-soluble Co2+:ZnS semiconductor nanocrystals synthesized by a hydrothermal process

摘要: Abstract Water-soluble ZnS:Co 2+ nanocrystals (NCs) were synthesized by a low temperature hydrothermal process using 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) as capping agent and the influence of doping on optical properties NCs was investigated. It found that are highly crystalline show zinc blende structure with an average particle size about 7 nm. The lattice constant decreases slightly introduction Co . dopants well doped into NCs, confirmed X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) 4 A 2 (F) →  T 1 (P) transition detected from UV–vis absorption spectra. edge is blue-shifted compared bulk ZnS, indicating quantum confinement effect. PL intensity shows maximum value when Fe-doping concentration 0.5 at.%.
