摘要: The widening function annotation gap in protein databases and the increasing number diversity of proteins being sequenced presents new challenges to prediction methods. Multidomain complicate sequence-structure-function relationship further as combinations domains can expand functional repertoire, creating functions. Here, we present FunFHMMer web server, which provides Gene Ontology (GO) annotations for query sequences based on classification domain-based CATH-Gene3D resource. Our server also valuable information sites. predictive power has been validated a set 95 where performs better than BLAST, Pfam CDD. Recent validation by an independent international competition ranks one top methods predicting GO both Biological Process Molecular Function Ontology. is available at http://www.cathdb.info/search/by_funfhmmer.
