摘要: Researchers use the PlanetLab testbed for its ability to host experimental applications in realistic conditions over public best-effort internet. Such form overlays whose performance is affected by underlying topology and evolution. While several information services have been proposed PlanetLab, TopHat system that we describe here fills a special niche. It designed support entire lifecycle of an experiment: from setup, through run time, retrospective analysis. does so new way, drawing upon excellent, proven third party services, notably Dimes Etomic measurement infrastructures, specialized measurements. has developed as active component Europe, flagship OneLab facility. part OneLab’s larger effort pioneer federation previously independent testbeds systems order provide diverse global scale environment Future Internet research.
