Charge Screening in an Electron Gas of Arbitrary Degeneracy

摘要: Utilizing the dielectric response formulation, analytic expressions are obtained for screening field around a localized point charge in non-interacting Fermi-Dirac electron gas of arbitrary degeneracy. Screening features suggested by forms discussed. In non-degenerate case, is modified Brooks-Herring one; predominant form factor inverse exponential with transition to Gaussian range kBTr2≪1. Utilisant les formules de la reponse dielectrique, on obtient des analytiques pour le champ blindage d'une ponctuelle localisee dans un gaz electronique ou I'effet d'echange ete neglige. Les caracteristiques du sont etudiees en relation avec fonctions obtenues. Dans cas d'un non-degeneree, trouve une modification potentiel Brooks-Herring; forme predominante facteur est I'inverse fonction exponentielle Gauss dam region kBTr2≪ 1.
