摘要: Abstract In a randomized, double-blind, parallel-group trial, 47 children with acute asthma received combination of ipratropium bromide solution (250 μg) and fenoterol hydrobromide (625 μg), alone, or administered by face mask nebulizer, the dose repeated 60 minutes later. The groups did not differ significantly regard to age, pulmonary function at baseline, any other variable. They were monitored 30, 60, 90, 120 use clinical score, oxygen saturation, tests. At end study, albuterol was assess residual bronchoconstriction. Clinical scores improved after treatment in all times compared baseline. greatest improvement FEV, seen patients treated ipratropium/fenoterol, whether considered as absolute change, change percent predicted, from ipratropium/fenoterol better than alone only when Improvement inflow mid low lung volumes greater for alone; no significant differences noted between flow volumes. Treatment improve receiving but it increase group alone. No patient complained spontaneously adverse reactions, clinically changes heart rate systolic diastolic blood pressures occurred. Ipratropium/fenoterol will be useful addition therapeutic armamentarium episodes children. (J ALLERGY OLIN iMMUNOL 1988;82:1012-8.)
