摘要: Magnetic resonance imaging with multidirectional cine velocity mapping was used to study relationships between aortic blood flow patterns and the geometry of thoracic aneurysms grafts. Ten patients 13 aneurysms, single or multiple, grafts (4) participated in study. The causes disease were atherosclerosis (4), Marfan's syndrome (2), trauma (1), unknown there two dissections. Spin-echo 10 mm thick slices vertical horizontal encoding done. Maps components processed into multiple computer-generated streaks whose orientation length corresponded vectors chosen plane. dynamic arrow maps compared previously reported from normal subjects. forward occupied entire lumen aorta systole small vortices only present sinuses Valsalva. Atherosclerotic ascending located at anterior right had oblique, eccentric jet flows that created a large secondary vortex aneurysm. Patients central vortices, one on each side. All other dissections, irregular not seen is powerful noninvasive tool assess morphologic features disturbed Recognizably altered found be associated vessel geometry. significance this requires further investigation.
