摘要: A study was conducted to determine the clinical factors that affect quality of life in adult asthmatics. As part their routine follow-up visit, 399 patients completed SF-36 questionnaire, had peak expiratory flow rate readings (PEFR) taken and were interviewed current symptom severity. The grade severity asthma verified by consultant physician in-charge. mean age 41.8 years 31.8% men. Most Malay (64.7%), 89% at least secondary level education duration 17.6 years. majority moderate or severe disease (43.6% 55.9% respectively). Patients moderate/severe cough recorded scores for except pain social functioning. Only physical functioning, role physical, general health emotional worse a compared mild/moderate asthma. PEFR = 80% predicted, but other similar both groups. Quality is impaired respiratory symptoms. However, do not as much.
