摘要: This study investigated the effects of ethanolic extract propolis (EEP) in absence and presence aspirin on glycation-induced structural changes human hemoglobin (Hb). Hb samples were incubated glucose (40 mM) for 5 weeks various concentrations EEP aspirin. Sampling was conducted at end each week, extent glycation evaluated by spectrophotometry, Thioflavin-T test, measuring free amino group contents heme degradation products. Results showed that glycated after incubation times reduced content, downturn absorption induced blue shifting UV–visible spectrum as well increased amyloid structures degradation. prevented these decreased a concentration-dependent manner. Aspirin also with same efficacy (20 μg/ml). Surprisingly, simultaneous resulted extensive inhibition glycation; 40 μg/ml concentration aspirin, fully synergic way. It is probable exerts its anti-glycation effect via potent antioxidant radical scavenging properties which decrease glycation-produced oxidative stress. In conclusion, to be introduced an agent first time this study. could developed natural design new drugs aimed reducing protein diabetic complications.
