摘要: Abstract The prediction of acute and maintenance lithium treatment response carries major clinical neurobiological implications, warranting systematic review. A Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) compliant review searched electronic databases from inception until December 2017 studies documenting a diagnosis bipolar disorder (BD) made according to the mainstream diagnostic manuals confirmed by structured interview. Eligible allowed quantitative comparison endpoint vs baseline mean values given biomarker, regardless mood phase patients with BD, was assessed severity using validated rating tool(s). Owing purposely applied stringent selection criteria, 16 12 could be included. anticipated publication bias limited chances reportable generalizable findings, hindering side-by-side different records across varying biomarkers subsequent meta-analyses. PRISMA approach nonetheless preferred; it aimed at enhancing homogeneity included results minimizing “apples oranges” respect present research theme. critical confirms need future specifically assess either pretreatment and/or posttreatment putative BD treated lithium.
