摘要: Pyruvate kinase (ATP:pyruvate 2-O-phosphotransferase, EC 2.7.1.40) isozymes were purified: type M1 and M2 from rat, mouse rabbit, bull frog L rat mouse. The amino acid composition of various species very similar those also similar. NH2-terminals to (Pro-Lys-Pro-), but the other enzymes appeared be blocked. COOH-terminals rabbit (-Val-Pro). Comparison tryptic peptide maps indicated that could not produced by post-synthesis modification, encoded different type-specific mRNAs. Comparative studies on showed M1-specific spots highly variable, whereas M2-specific conserved. isozyme marked variation, indicating this differentiated evolved more rapidly than M2, which may a prototype or undifferentiated isozyme.
