摘要: Single dose of potassium iodide (KI) is recommended to prevent the risk thyroid cancer during nuclear accidents. However in case repeated/protracted radioiodine release, a unique KI may not protect efficiently against further developing radiation-induced cancer. The new WHO guidelines for use planning and responding radiological emergencies identify need more data on this subject as one four research priorities. aims PRIODAC project are (1) assess associated side effects repeated intakes KI, (2) better understand molecular mechanisms regulating metabolism iodine, (3) revise regulatory French marketing authorization 65-mg tablets (4) develop recommendations related administration toward international harmonization. A review literature preliminary presented here.
